Welcome
Saint Jude Catholic Church is a parish community of the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend. Founded in 1948, our mission is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and to be a home among the homes of our community where all people can come to encounter Jesus Christ, worship the Trinity in Spirit and Truth, and be equipped to fulfill their mission as Christians in this world.
What exactly is a parish?
Can. 515 §1. A parish is a certain community of the Christian faithful stably constituted in a particular church, whose pastoral care is entrusted to a pastor (parochus) as its proper pastor (pastor) under the authority of the diocesan bishop.
"The parish is where the Church lives. Parishes are communities of faith, of action, and of hope. They are where the Gospel is proclaimed and celebrated, where believers are formed and sent to renew the earth. Parishes are the home of the Christian community; they are the heart of our Church. Parishes are the place where God's people meet Jesus in word and sacrament and come in touch with the source of the Church's life.” - Communities of Salt and Light, p. 1

Support the Mission
Our parish community relies entirely on the financial support of our parishioners and friends to fulfill our mission of proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples. You can support the parish in several ways.
-
Parishoners are able to make their weekly offertory contribution, as well as particualr gifts for special funds and special collections online.
-
Parishioners who would like to contribute to the parish for particular items or with unrestricted gifts can do so in a variety of ways. A common way is through IRA distributions or stock donations.
For more information, contact the Business Manager.
-
The St. Jude Legacy Society is formed up of parishioners who have formally committed to leave behind a gift to the parish in their will. In this way, they commit to leave a legacy which will help the parish continue its mission of proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ into the future.
-
Parishioners who would like to make contributions of large gifts in the form of a managed endowment with particular use are able to do so for the parish or school via the Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana. This organization supports the mission of the Diocese in assisting with Estate planning as well as management of endowments and other funds which benefit the parishes and schools of the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend.
The first step to take is to talk to the pastor. More information about the Catholic Community Foundation can be found here.
